BENEFITS OF CONYMET TRUCK BODY - HE SERIES
1.- Mine
Customized Design (MCD):
Unique body design tailored to each mine,
exclusively engineered under specific Geological and Techno-Mechanical
conditions to reach maximum load optimization, developed with
state of the art software of Photometric and Finite Element analysis.
2.- Body
weight reduction
up to a 50%:
Conymet Highest Efficiency design (HE
Series): Manufactured with high technology steels with an operating
function limit of 135 kg/mm2, traction resistance of 162 kg/mm2,
and 28% elongation.
Strategic Alliance with Nippon Kokan (NKK Japan): Highest
quality and standards of steel mixtures (HE Series utilizes between
4 and 7 different types of steel, depending on mine specific conditions).

3.- Payload
capacity increase up
to a 16%:
Higher production capacity and maximum mineral
load optimization, therefore 7 trucks will deliver the production
of 8.
4.- Cost
per ton reduction
up to a 18%:
Conymet body engineering improvement in the
load distribution by axle based on mine operational conditions
(flat ground or with inclination +/- 10%, full and empty truck),
achieves the remarkable savings in tires, suspension, differentials,
traction, engines, etc.
Higher body payload capacity also gives the option of decreasing
the number of trucks, while maintaining the same production, therefore
achieving relevant savings in maintenance, tires, parts, fuel,
labor, etc.
5.- Improves
Axle load distribution
and load placement:
Conymet High Efficiency body (HE Series)
improves the load distribution by axle for every mine condition
(flat road or with inclination +/- 10% degree, empty/full truck).
This improvement in axle distribution limits front axle overload
up to but not more than 2%.
The placement correction achieved by Conymet design allows also
centering the load cone properly.
6.- Safer
load conditions:
Body with lower sidewalls and wider floor improves
load conditions and decreases the load cone height, therefore the
body design would obtain a lower center of gravity and thus improve
the stability and ergonomics of the truck.
Lower sidewalls decrease typical damages sidewall borders receive
when loading (Loaders and Shovels). Additionally it facilitates
the exit of the shovel dipper since the sidewall inclination angle
makes the rear part of the sidewall even lower.
Higher payload capacity achieved with a lower Fill Coefficient
(0.8) minimizes unwanted discharge of the load while being transported.

7.- Unique
modular
assembling system:
The Hinge Assembling Kit (HAK) system developed
for Conymet HE Series, allows for complete assembly within 2 days.
8.- Longer
durability:
Conymet HE Series is not a disposable body like
the traditional light design currently on the market.
Under normal maintenance conditions, its life and durability is
longer and superior than standard truck bodies.
9.- Award
Winning Technology
Innovation (Year 2000):
National Mining Association Awarded Conymet
truck body - HE Series (Patent Pending).
10.- ISO
9000 certified:
Quality certification of Conymet Manufacturing
Processes (Design, manufacturing, welding procedures, assembling
and after-care maintenance) guarantees higher performance and consistency.
11.- Industrial
Duty Free Zone:
Conymet has officially become the first Private
Company to be awarded with the extension of a governmental Duty
Free Zone in Chile. This means that Conymet Facilities in the north
of Chile (I Region) are a formal Industrial Duty Free Zone (Import/Export
tax free).
A fact highly relevant in terms of Production
Cost (all Conymet materials are imported from Japan, Australia
and the US). It also provides an advantageous profile for implementing
a Duty Free Factory to Export, with unique competitive capabilities,
all Conymet products from Chile to overseas (USA, Pacific Rim,
South America, North America, etc).

Economics Benefits of Conymet truck body HE Series
Example for Komatsu truck 830E at TOQUEPALA Mine: Higher Payload Capacity:
237 tons 204 tons = 33 tons/truck
33 tons/per truck x 18 trucks x 0.85 of fleet availability = 504.9 tons/per
fleet
504.9 tons/per fleet x 60 cycles per day per truck = 30,294 tons/per
fleet per day.Mine production increase: 16,1%.Lower Maintenance cost:
Production increase (tons): 237/204 = 16,1%
C1 = Current maintenance cost
TM1 = Tons production with current standard body
TM2 = Tons production with Conymet body HE Series
C2 </= C1 :
Maintenance cost also decreases in:
Tires, wear package maintenance, fuel, engines, suspensions, transmissions.
TM2 = TM1 x 1.161
TM1 = TM2/1.161Maintenance cost decrease in:
C1/TM1 - C2/TM2 = C1 ( 1 1/1.161) = 13.87% If we also take into
consideration that a lighter body produces savings in: cost of tires,
wear package maintenance, fuel, engines, suspensions, transmissions,
etc.
And if we also consider than higher capacity body can also saves in maintenance
cost, fuel, labor, etc. based on the option of decreasing the number
of trucks, while maintaining the same production, Conymet HE Series achieves
savings up to an 18%
