FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS Chapter 6

In the figure N°12, a zoom of the efforts of the main supports of the lifting cylinders, this effort is the adult obtained in the analysis, so is like to say this is avery critical area but requested of the structure with an effort of 110 Kg / mm2.

Displacements

In the following figures are shown the displacements obtained in the different directions, being the direction X the lateral sides; the direction Y toward the front and the direction Z toward the floor.

CONCLUSIONS

Of the obtained results of the displacement analysis and the physical mechanical efforts, it is possible to conclude the following:

• According to the load pressure applied on the lateral, they performed a good answer for absorbing the loads pressures, having like maximum effort 30 Kg / mm2 what leaves a good' factor of security in that sector, the displacement obtained in the sector is also of 12mm in' direction X and of 20mm in direction Z, (considered the most critical areas), being these' acceptable tolerant values, based on the special resistance steel being utilized.

• Regarding the front that is one of the sectors with maximum solicitation, the maximum efforts reached were 35Kg/mm2, completely reasonable value according to the efforts of fluency of the material with which it is built, also the maximum displacements in this area were 24mm. In direction Y, what it is completely normal and under the tolerance patterns

• The steel sheets of the floor have a normal behavior for the solicitations that possess, it should be kept in mind that the analysis that is carried out is static, for what does not take into account the impact of the material when this falls, but they can be easily absorbed, because the maximum effort reaches a value of 20 Kg / mm2, it is very below the fluency effort level' of the material.

• One of the parts with the highest solicitation and importance in this analysis are the main and longitudinal beams of the floor; these are the ones that receive the biggest mechanical effort. As a result it was obtained that the biggest efforts are in the areas very next to the supports, so much of the lifting cylinders as in the main supports also, both in their external side, being the biggest effort located by the external part of the lifting cylinders, reaching a maximum value of mechanical effort of 110 Kg / mm2. It is recommended to reinforce this sector, that way to increase the security factor.

• In general the dump body performed and behaved under the normal parameters, according to the type of material utilized, except for that indicated in the previous point, being advisable to reinforce that sector.
